Our new design combined three main elements from our previous design which are multi-functional, bendable and foldable. The design is in rounded triangular prism to form blocked shape and the surfaces can assemble to become three chairs. This design is inspired by the tree concept. People can enjoy sitting in three different sides of the prism just like sitting under the tree. They can enjoy their own moment or they can also bend the plywood like a screen and sit together side by side. Besides, when they folded up all the chairs, it will become a bar table that let the users to place in the corner.

 

In addition, this design is sustainable because the prism only uses a single sheet of plywood to form the box and more easy for the users to assemble the chairs. We tried few kerf bending methods in different patterns to achieve different results. However, the kerf cutting methods weaken the integrity of the material making it able to bend without snapping. Finally, we found the best result.
